Project Management and The Discovery Solutions Team

DTI's Discovery Solutions Team. Because the complexity of e-Discovery projects can be overwhelming, we have created a team of senior project managers, consultants and sales engineers who specialize in handling large projects. Our specialists focus on big picture issues including

  • Cost-Containment Strategies
  • The Need for World-Class Project Management
  • Flexible Review Tools and Project Approach
  • Scale and Capacity

Accordingly, we have created a team of senior project managers, consultants and sales engineers who specialize in handling just these types of cases. The Discovery Solutions team averages close to 20 years experience in traditional Litigation Support, Computer Forensics and e-Discovery.  We have successfully handled literally thousands of projects and delivered to most ALS target systems. Discovery Solutions can develop customized cost-containment strategies using both linear and conceptual review tools. Every aspect of our service uses proper evidence handling techniques and a defensible process.

DTI utilizes a hierarchy of project responsibilities to manage e-Discovery projects. Depending upon the size and complexity of the engagement, both a Senior Project Manager, as well as functional Project Manager(s) may be assigned to a particular project.

Litigation Support Experience. Senior Project Managers at DTI have at least 18 years of litigation support industry experience. They come to DTI from major law firms, consultancies, and positions of leadership in project or operations management. DTI Senior Project Managers understand the litigation process, and the discovery process within it. They are accustomed to the speed that the litigation support requires and become part of the legal team when responding to discovery requests. Senior Project Managers serve as both project executives and as technical and procedural advisors and are ultimately responsible for bringing all our resources together to meet the specific needs of a given project. They are responsible for:

  • project schedule and metrics,
  • day-to-day client contact and reporting,
  • administration of pricing and billing, and
  • monitoring and managing project scope.

National Technology Center. DTI also has a functional project management team based at our Technology Centers in Atlanta and Washington, DC. Project managers at the Technology Centers handle all workflow and communication for their projects and have direct responsibility for shepherding their projects through the conversion and production process. They typically manage 2 or 3 national relationships with multiple cases or 6 to 10 active projects from their assigned cities. Functional project managers may be responsible for the day-to-day activities in forensics, ESI conversion and hosting functions of a particular project.
