Document Technologies Named Atlanta's Fastest Growing Private Company
ATLANTA – May 1, 2001 – Document Technologies, Inc., an Atlanta-based reprographics and document outsourcing company, today announced that it has been named Atlanta's fastest growing private company by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
"We are ecstatic to be recognized as a leader among Atlanta's very successful community of growing private companies," said John Davenport, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Document Technologies. "This award is a testament to the hard work of our 600-plus employees and partners throughout the United States."
The Atlanta Business Chronicle acknowledges Atlanta's 50 fastest-growing private companies annually at its Pacesetter Awards. In order to qualify, companies must be headquartered in Atlanta, have 2000 revenues between $1 million and $300 million, and a two-year growth in sales of more than 50 percent. Growth is measured on a weighted average index taking into account increases in revenues and total number of employees from 1998 through 2000. Document Technologies weighted average growth index score of 2,561 reflected an increase in excess of 17,000% in revenues and an increase in excess of 1,300% in number of employees from 1998 to 2000. Document Technologies achieved all of its growth through 2000 organically, and did not complete its first acquisition until January of 2001.
In his acceptance remarks on behalf of the company, Mr. Davenport thanked "each of our 600 employees and partners who have sacrificed so much personally and professionally to make Document Technologies the world-class organization that it is today." Mr. Davenport also thanked the company's 4,000-plus customers for the faith they put in Document Technologies, and the "unwavering loyalty" they have demonstrated.
In addition to being honored at the Pacesetter Awards, Document Technologies was featured in a lead story of the Pacesetters section of the April 27-May 3, 2001, edition of the Atlanta Business Chronicle. A copy of this article can be found here.
