Document Technologies, Inc. Expands New York Discovery Services Team

ATLANTA – July 24, 2009 – Document Technologies, Inc. (DTI), the nation’s largest independent provider of legal support services and document outsourcing, announced today industry veteran Emerson Bretous is the company’s newest solutions architect and senior ESI consultant, supporting clients in New York. In this new role, Mr. Bretous assists in the development and implementation of customized litigation support and discovery services for DTI’s law firm and corporate legal department clients.

As a subject matter expert on litigation support and specifically electronic discovery technology and processes, Mr. Bretous interacts consultatively and collaboratively with clients – outside of a traditional sales process – to recommend solutions and workflows on litigation, regulatory and compliance matters. The process begins with an investigation of the client’s specific needs and the scope of the matter in order to ensure DTI delivers customized solutions that help clients meet discovery obligations in both a defensible and cost-effective manner. Utilizing a unique, best-of-breed suite of tools and technologies, DTI’s experienced project management team then  works with the solutions architect to implement the right applications and processes to deliver each project successfully.

Mr. Bretous brings to this senior consulting and solutions architect role more than 15 years of litigation support experience honed while working at the nation’s top law firms. He recently spent time in a hands-on operations leadership role in which he was responsible for service delivery at DTI’s Regional Technology Center in Washington, D.C.; prior to joining DTI, he held the position of East Coast Practice Support Manager for Heller Ehrman LLP. Mr. Bretous has published numerous articles and also has spoken on the topics of trial technology and electronically stored information (ESI) trends in the legal industry, among others.
