Document Technologies, Inc. Achieves Record Growth in E-Discovery Segment

published on July 14, 2010

ATLANTA – July 14, 2010 – Document Technologies, Inc. (DTI), the nation’s largest independent provider of comprehensive discovery and on-site facilities management services, announced that the continued growth of their electronic discovery services business has prompted further expansion and infrastructure investments in DTI’s National Technology Center in Atlanta and in the majority of DTI’s offices across the United States. DTI has seen its data acquisition, processing and hosted document review services increase significantly during the first half of 2010, a trend that is expected to continue through the remainder of the year.

To support the growth DTI has experienced over the past year in both the law firm and corporate markets, the company has made numerous technology investments and has substantially expanded their e-discovery project management team. Electronically stored information (ESI) processing capabilities have been increased in each major market across the country with Clearwell early case assessment (ECA) tools added in several local production facilities. In addition, DTI has added the Nuix Enterprise Discovery Platform to its suite of tools to further increase the speed of ESI processing.

In addition, DTI has hired six new senior e-discovery project managers, including the recent addition of litigation support industry veteran Sheryl Karstensen.  Karstensen brings expertise and perspective that complements the strengths of DTI’s high-caliber team. Her unique background includes extensive experience in litigation support and e-discovery roles within corporations, law firms, and service providers.

“Our strategy of offering best-of-breed technology and high-quality service both nationally and in local markets throughout the U.S. has paid off, resulting in continued expansion and strength of our e-discovery business,” said Document Technologies, Inc. CEO John Davenport, Jr. “DTI’s stability and profitable growth has also helped us attract and retain prominent industry veterans who are eager to be part of our success.”

Amidst their continued growth, DTI has demonstrated a firm commitment to quality and security by maintaining ISO 27001:2005 compliance standards and Safe Harbor certification. Exceptional quality and service have also recently earned DTI recognition from select technology partners, including iCONECT and IPRO.
